If you’re a mature woman looking for a swimsuit to slim you, here’s help with this simple guide. This guide can help you pick the perfect swimsuit to slim your body to that “back to the beach” appeal.

First of all, in general, many mature women tend to put on extra weight through the mid to lower section of their body. The key is finding clothes and swimsuits that minimize that area and focus on a more flattering appeal. To begin with, a black colored swimsuit seems to be the most popular choice, when it comes to offering a slimming effect on the figure. Dark brown and navy colored swimsuits will also work in achieving that slimmer look. On the other hand, avoid wearing white swimsuits, since this color can add weight to a figure. Stay away from horizontal stripes on your swimsuit as these will tend to widen the figure! Vertical strips, however, can have the opposite effect on a swimsuit, by minimizing a figure to a leaner look.

If you are a woman with wider hips, sometimes a little skirt at the bottom of the swimsuit will help camouflage and hide any flaws a woman may have. Two colored scheme swimsuit can work wonders in slimming a figure. For example, a wide patch of blue on the front of the swimsuit, surrounded by navy blue on the sides, tends to create the illusion of a slim waist.

The perfect fit on the bust of the swimsuit is important when you’re a mature woman. Swimsuits with bras included are your best choice; since they will offer the support a more mature woman may need, and therefore help in giving the rest of the swimsuit a slimmer look. Better coverage usually means better fitting, as well with a swimsuit.

The modern mature women may prefer the one piece swimsuit for a slimming effect, since the contour of the body is in one long line, than the cut in half visual, with a bikini. Don’t get shiny fabric swimsuits or bright colors; these can create a look of added pounds to your figure. If you are a woman with shorter legs, try wearing a swimsuit with a higher cut thigh to give a lengthy and slimmer look to your figure.

Use a swimming suit with a cover-up to hide any unwanted pounds. There are several different kinds of cover-ups available today, depending on one’s preference that can give a more mature woman the slimming look she desires.

Make sure you are wearing the right size swimsuit for your frame. If a swimsuit is too small, it can make a woman look heavier than she really is. The flip side, if a swimsuit is too big, this will not flatter a woman’s figure at all either.

Finally, with all the swimsuit choices available today, women can look forward to putting on swimsuit that gives their figure a thinner and flattering look. So, back to the beach, enjoy!

Choosing The Right Swimwear For The Occasion!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Sexy swimsuits are meant for women to look hot and sassy apart from giving ultimate comfort. There are several occasions that require women to wear swimsuits. However, for every occasion the swimwear needn’t have to be the same classic maillot or bikini. You can’t imagine yourself in a hot swimsuit at your child’s pool party. Hence, it’s very important to ascertain the right swimsuit for each different outing. Here is a brief guide to choose appropriate swimwear for different swimsuit occasions.

For an outing in the Beach

On your trip to the local beach, if you plan to engage in a casual round of Frisbee or beach volleyball, you will more likely want a swimsuit that stays in place. For beach sports, you need a style that won’t gap when you are leaping for a wayward pass or spiking a ball. A halter bikini top paired with boy shorts or full bikini briefs is ideal for this occasion. This swimwear provides adequate coverage and stay in place.

Lounging on the Poolside

If you love to get tanned by lounging around the poolside, then you need a swimsuit designed specifically for lounging. For lounge swimsuit, you can safely indulge in latest wild fashion as you won’t be engaging in lot of movement. Plunging necklines, one-shouldered maillots, thong bikini, cutouts there are so many designs through which you can flaunt your body freely. However, just take care to choose a sexy swimsuit as per your comfort level and the population of your local swimming pool.

Tropical summer vacation trip

For your summer getaway, you need hot swimwear with cool colors and patterns which evokes carefree, vacation time feelings. A maillot or bikini in a Hawaiian motif or floral pattern is ideal for this occasion. If you don’t like colourful floral pattern, then you can go for light, pastel colors or sporty stripes.

Country Club Party

Some elegant yet sexy swimsuits are required for country club theme parties. Your swimwear certainly shouldn’t look prim or matronly. You can opt for some classic styles hot swimwear. A bandeau or halter bikini or a maillot in a pretty pastel or floral print and even White swimsuits are appropriate for such occasion. The cut of your sexy swimsuit should be tasteful also make sure the swimsuit has plenty of lining, if you plan to get wet.

Lap Swimming

For serious swimming, you don’t need sexy swimsuits as they won’t be very functional. On the other hand, you do not need to don a full-body wetsuit before entering the pool as that too is not very comfortable. One-piece polyester swimsuits are best for this occasion. Make sure your swimwear contain a high percentage of spandex or Lycra. Spandex ensures that the swimsuit stays in place while the polyester will hold up longer under the destructive powers of chlorine. You can choose bright, fun color or waist defining styles to make your swimwear look hotter.

Hope the above tips will be helpful for you to choose the right swimsuit for the right occasion. So go ahead and choose a sexy swimsuit as per the right occasion which can give you ultimate comfort as well as augment your sexy look!

When you go bathing suit shopping this year, you may find that a bright orange string bikini doesn’t quite highlight your features in a flattering light anymore. The only problem is, it seems that bright orange string bikinis, or anything that had to have been specifically designed to accentuate stretch marks and sagging skin, are all that department stores are carrying these days. Well, that’s because the bathing suit market is still targeted at the college age generation, and what you see in stores is designed accordingly. What a select few in the bathing suit industry have caught on to, however, is that forty is the new twenty, and no longer are women resorting to swim skirts and cover-ups after their fortieth birthdays. There’s really no need to anymore, as women are looking and feeling better than ever. That is why we are redirecting a lot of our new designs for the 40 plus ladies who appreciate a quality made and sexy swimsuit. Until retailers get a clue, however, you’ll likely be forced to shop amongst a sea of teeny-bopper options. That being true, it can be easy to select a bathing suit that isn’t suited to your tastes, lifestyle, and, we’re just going to go ahead and say it, you’re age. To keep from looking like you’re really just trying too hard, read on.

First, let’s take a look at the style of bathing suit that you might consider. While you might have a body that allows you to flaunt your stuff in a bikini with no qualms, you might want to opt out. I say this not because a woman over forty can’t look great in a bikini, but because they send a certain message to other beach goers. They tend to say “Look at me!” or “I’m trying to look younger!” rather than giving off the intended sexy message.  If you are looking for a bit more coverage without having to go the one-piece route, consider a tankini that bares just a bit of stomach and can be adjusted. On the other hand, if you prefer a one-piece, that doesn’t mean you can’t look hot. We are including many new one piece designs with matchin cover-ups, shaws, skirt and dresses that are coordinated together as a collection.

Secondly, take a serious look at the colors and prints that you have to choose from. Seeing a lot of florals, animal prints, jungle patterns, and metallics? Fight the urge right now. Again, they are just another part of the trend that is geared toward women under 40, or maybe even under 20. What you want is a color or pattern that is sleek, versatile, and sophisticated while at the same time flattering and fun. If you prefer bright colors, choose solids in white, green, blue, or red. Stay away from pink and orange, and avoid prints altogether. Bright prints are too busy and have a tendency to make adult women look older than they really are (think “granny” jokes). If you prefer darker colors, take advantage of navy, deep burgundy, and emerald green, which are all hot right now and are a refreshing change from traditional black. You can also opt for prints if you like darker colored bathing suits, but stick with small patterns. Finally, no matter what your color preferences are, stay away from glitter and metallics. There should be no need to elaborate here. Just don’t touch them.

Finally, find a bathing suit based on what it will accentuate, not what it will hide. No bathing suit is going to cover every single flaw, no matter how young or fit you are. Look for well tailored lines, supportive cups, and a slightly snug fit. By “slightly snug,” I mean that you should try to find a swimsuit that hugs the curves and creates a womanly shape, not one that will squeeze or make you uncomfortable. The problem with so many women over forty is that they shop for big, bulky swimsuits in an attempt to hide figure flaws, and instead bring more attention to them by doing so. No one looks perfect in a bathing suit unless they are getting paid well to do so. Think about what you love about your body and find a suit that flaunts it. Yes, that means you’ll have to ditch the oversize T-shirt and gym shorts this year. It’s so much more flattering to wear a suit built to flatter every single curve. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
